You’ve Got to Love the Smart and Loyal Schnoodle Mix
When you are looking for a dog that is a great non-aggressive watch dog, a great companion and very easy to train, you might want to look at the Schnoodle. What is a Schnoodle? This is a hybrid dog breed that is a purebred mix of the Poodle and the Schnauzer dog breeds. In order to get a purebred cross breed of the Schnoodle, the Poodle and the Schnauzer must be purebred dogs. The schnoodle mix is an excellent companion and is loyal to its master. With this mix, you get the intelligent trait of the Poodle and the loving devotion of the Schnauzer. This is what makes this cross breed one of the most desirable dog breeds around.
The Schnoodle is eager to please its master (like the Schnauzer) and easily begins to pick up vocals cues. For instance, if you tell your Schnoodle to go get your toy, it will go get its toy because it begins to understand very quickly. Don’t be too quick to go to town without your schnoodle mix because these pups love to ride in the car and are very good riders. You shouldn’t have any trouble going to the Vet with one of these sweet pups. Let’s not forget how easy they are to groom. The Schnoodle’s coat grows more like human hair and may be course like the Schnauzer or soft like the Poodle depending on the trait a particular puppy got from its parents. Either way, they should be groomed at least every two to three months to avoid getting a ratty coat. This breed is also popular because their coat is considered hypoallergenic so that people with allergies can even have a dog. They do not shed or shed very little. You won’t find little dog hairs all over the place when you have a Schnoodle.
What more can be said about the schnoodle mix besides they are loyal, smart, loving, easy to train, easy to groom and hypoallergenic. These are traits most dog owners love in a dog breed. They are also a pretty healthy pup that can live up to 15 years when well care for and have few congenital illnesses. The only things you should look out for with the schnoodle mix is too much hair in the ears (your Vet can take care of that), some discharge from the eyes (gently wipe them clean) and possibly having to have their anal glands expressed once or twice a year. This is common among the Poodle and Schnauzer, so the Schnoodle may pick up this trait as well. Other than that, this breed is the perfect house pet.
