Toy Schnoodle, a Tiny Package with a big Personality
If you want a small, charismatic dog with a protective personality, and weighing about ten pounds while standing, but a mere eleven inches tall, you may wish to consider the toy schnoodle. A hybrid, this tiny package of love is big on personality. A cross between a poodle and a schnauzer, the offspring of two dogs of purebred blood is commonly referred to as a designer dog, because they make the perfect companion and have the appearance and qualities of a prospective owners two favorite breeds, especially if the owner has allergies to most dogs. This hybrid in particular is not allergenic, making them a real plus for those who love dogs, but allergies have prevented them from owning one previously.
The physical colorings of the toy schnoodle are peach, white or even silver. Although considered tiny dogs, some can weigh up to twenty pounds and stand fifteen inches tall. The hybrid is a friendly dog who loves all people, is easy to get along with, not very active, and a perfect fit for small apartments.
The grooming needs of a toy schnoodle are the same as any other poodle or schnauzer, so they must be clipped and brushed on a regular basis. Shedding of these dogs is at a minimum, which means very little fur will wind up on your furniture and clothing. Some of the more common health problems you should be aware of are, hip dysplasia, patella luxation. which is similar to a locked knee is humans, and eye disorders, but proper breeding and research, in addition to available testing for any of these diseases should be completed before acquiring your new little friend, and will insure the healthiest, happiest dog possible for years to come.
The lifespan of a toy schnoodle is anywhere from twelve to fifteen years. Known to love children and other dogs and cats, socialization of this little dog is as easy to teach as it is for the dog to learn.All this dog needs is lots of love and affection from you as they will want to be near you at all times. It makes no difference whether you are using your laptop or sitting on the sofa waiting to watch your favorite movie, your toy schnoodle will be there, right beside you.
